"Ian Hawgood is a sound designer and musician who currently lives mostly in Tokyo during term and London off-term. Apart from being a junior high-school teacher, he also runs the Home Normal and Nomadic Kids Republic labels, as well as making soundscapes for exhibitions and producing his own music for various labels around the world. He is a big supporter of field recording and circuit bending. His favorite hobby is collecting strange and abused instruments to love and nurture."
